4 Places you never knew in Barcelona

Barcelona is a great city with many things to do during your stay, and we all know the best places to visit, as La Sagrada Familía, Las Ramblas or the pl. Catalunya, among others.

But the city has more great places that are not very known and are as beautiful and original as the ones mentioned above. We show four of these beautiful locations and things to see according the Luxos magazine guide

  1. Tibidabo

Tibidabo is the highest point on top of the Collserola mountain range from there you can see the the whole Barcelona. Besides of the great views, you can find the amusement park of the mountain, were you can have a great time and enjoy even higher  views.

  1. Botero’s Cat

This sculpture by Fernando Botero was purchased by Barcelona’s city council in 1987, but it was positioned permanently in the Raval district only in 2003: up until then, as cats do, it had wandered the city, in sites at the zoo, then the Olympic stadium, then the Medieval shipyards, and finally settling in the Raval district.

  1. The Garden Maze

The Parc del Laberint d’Horta has a hedge maze, a typical feature of aristocratic gardens in the 19th century. It was planned and developed by the Desvalls family from 1791, and the carefully pruned hedges conceal a route leading to the centre where there is a statue of Eros

  1. Palau de la Música

Hidden inside city you can find the magical Palau de la Música, built by Lluís Domènech I Montaner. Anyone who loves the eccentric architecture of Barcelona is sure to admire the organic shapes, colourful staine glass windouws and fine detailing of this concert hall.
