Make the most of your Easter holidays in Barcelona with our guide for an exciting getaway.
In our blog post about Spring in Barcelona we told you that Holy week is the ideal time to visit Barcelona’s cathedral and other churches in the city like the impressive Santa María del Mar in the Born district, one of our favorite churches in Barcelona.
The Sagrada Família by Antoni Gaudí will project special lighting shows on its Passion façade during Holy Week, on April 10, 11 and 12 from 8pm to 10pm. The light show will be free and open to everyone.
In this Easter season in Barcelona you will not find Easter eggs in the city but you will can taste other very sweet alternatives such as ‘Les Mones’, a rich cake decorated with chocolates eggs or the bunyols of Quaresma a sweet made with fried flour and sugar.
During your Easter break in Barcelona you will also have time to shopping. From the Hotel Negresco Princess we suggest the exclusive Passeig de Gràcia near to thehotel or go to La Roca Village which is very close to the city.
And to take a break after visiting Barcelona’s attractions, the terrace of The Gym Bar at the Hotel Barcelona Princess is a great alternative for a cocktail or tapa. Or, make an aperitif at The Corner by Princess restaurant at Hotel Negresco Princess and enjoy the Negre-mut, a delicous vermouth with appetizer.
