Next 30th November will be held the first round of the 7th Concurso Cocinero del Año, where Pedro Montolio Peiro, Chef of the Hotel Barcelona Princess, will participate along with 13 other participants; eight cooks and five waiters from different autonomous communities of Spain.
This gastronomic contest directed to professional chefs and organized by Caterdata Group will be chaired by Martín Berasategui and vice presided by Jordi Cruz during the four semifinals.
In the first semifinal all cooks will have to prepare a menu consisting of a first course, a second course and a dessert for five hours. The three dishes cannot exceed 16 euros of raw material and to be able to carry out, each chef will have his personal assistant who in our case will be the second chef of the Hotel Barcelona Princess, David Bourg.
The competition will take place at the Escuela Superior de Hosteleria en Barcelona (ESHOB) and the awards ceremony will be held in Palo Alto, next to the School. Both events are located on Passeig del Taulat, number 249 very close to the Hotel Barcelona Princess.
Moreover, the grand finale of the four preliminary stages will be held at the famous food and beverage fair, Alimentaria. This event will take place in April 2017.
