The United Nations General Assembly has named 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development to promote sustainability as a new development model and to give importance to the need of the tourism sector towards the environment.

At the Barcelona Princess Hotel within its 360 Princess & you Sustainable green project we are committed to the environment. We are pro active and we take part in actions that promote corporate social responsibility in social, cultural and environmental development.

The last  5th July the Hotel joined the fight on World Environment Day. An annual celebration to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the planet.

For this reason, the Hotel Barcelona Princess joins # Tourism17 challenge. The first to accept the challenge and to spin around is Santiago Hernández, Director of the Hotel, who spins 17 times for a tourism that protects people at high risk of social exclusion.

Recently, Santiago Hernández got recognition in the XXII Nit del Turisme de Catalunya for his generosity and proactivity for helping the integration into the labour force.

We challenge you to join the # Tourism17 campaign and share it with us and we also challenge Hotel Negresco Princess to spin. Do you dare?
